By accessing Stolen Heritage (the "Site"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

1. Editorial purpose

Stolen Heritage is an independent editorial and educational project. All cases are published in good faith based on publicly available evidence, GI registries, craft-council records, and verifiable press. The archive constitutes commentary, criticism, and reporting on matters of cultural and public interest.

2. Brand and product names

Brand names, product names, and trademarks referenced on the Site remain the property of their respective owners. Their use here is nominative and descriptive — for the purpose of identification, comparison, and journalism — and does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

3. Corrections & takedowns

If you believe a case contains a factual inaccuracy or you are an authorised representative of a brand who would like to respond, contact editorial@stolenheritage.com. We review every request and will publish a correction or response where warranted.

4. Submissions

By submitting a case you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you grant Stolen Heritage a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to verify, edit, and publish the factual content. You retain ownership of any original commentary you contribute.

Do not submit confidential information, trade secrets, or content that infringes another party's rights.

5. Intellectual property

The original written content, layout, and design of the Site are © Stolen Heritage and licensed for personal, non-commercial reading. Republishing or commercial reuse requires written permission. Linking to and citing case files with attribution is encouraged.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape the Site at a rate that disrupts service.
  • Do not submit false, defamatory, or harassing content.
  • Do not impersonate brands, artisans, or other contributors.

7. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is". While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranties as to completeness, suitability, or availability. Pricing data reflects publicly listed prices at the time of documentation and may change.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stolen Heritage and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Site.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

10. Changes

We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
